In the MMO shooter Destiny, it is now certain: There will be “Moments of Triumph” for year 2.
Almost a year ago, before the “The Taken King” expansion, Bungie celebrated the first anniversary of Destiny with the “Moments of Triumph.” These were specific activities that could be completed in year 1: such as mastering the raids, eliminating Skolas, or winning a certain number of Crucible matches.
Now Bungie has confirmed that there will be “Moments of Triumph” this year as well.
“Moments of Triumph” are meant to remind of the deeds from the past year in Destiny
At E3 2016, the Creative Lead Cristopher Barrett spoke about these moments of triumph. When asked by GameSpot whether the “Rise of Iron” expansion would also reward players who have been active in Destiny for some time, he said:
We talked a little about the Moments of Triumph, and that is something we will do again.
Barrett mentioned that there will be rewards associated with this content. This will remind players of what they accomplished in the past year.
The specific rewards were not hinted at by Barrett. Last year, Guardians could receive a stylish emblem by completing all the assigned tasks.
So far, there is no official confirmation about which tasks Guardians will have to tackle for the special year-2 rewards. Recently, a graphic appeared that is supposed to show the “Moments of Triumph” from year 2. Now that we are certain that the Triumph Moments will return, this leak seems to gain credibility. The graphic was discovered in Bungie’s API.
“The Rise of Iron” will be released on September 20 for PS4 and Xbox One.
In this article, we present Bungie’s reasons why the Iron Lords of Destiny will not awaken on last-gen systems.
