In Destiny, the Trials of Osiris commence today, September 30th. These are the first Trials since the launch of “Rise of Iron.”
The weekly PvP event is back! After a few weeks’ pause, the Trials will kick off this evening, which are highly popular among PvP enthusiasts and streamers.
As Bungie stated, the Trials of Osiris remain largely the same as known. You won’t need to prepare for any new mechanics. Brother Vance will remain your point of contact, Elimination remains the mode, and the Lighthouse on Mercury stays the ultimate goal.
However, there are a few changes:
- New Trials armor pieces and weapons are now available.
- There is a special “Trials of Osiris” ornament that can only be obtained with a flawless run. This gives your Trials gear a fresh “hologram” look.
- The required Light level is 331, and the recommended Light level is 370.
Since the Trials operate in the Elimination mode, the following changes also apply:
- Heavy ammo now only spawns at a central location in Elimination matches.
- A bug has been fixed where Heavy ammo remained in rounds when the Heavy round ended before it appeared.
Which map is being played?
The Trials of Osiris will last from today at 7 PM until next Tuesday at 11 AM. This week, the map Last Exit will be played.
What are the Trials of Osiris?
In the Trials, you engage in PvP battles in the Elimination mode. You compete in teams of three and try to fill your scorecard with victories. If the opposing team is completely defeated, you win a round. Fallen teammates can be revived. Here, it’s not only about having strong gear but also about communication among the Guardians. A strong map knowledge is advantageous.
After 5 and 7 wins, there are random rewards from Osiris’s pool. Additionally, you should keep an eye on Brother Vance’s bounties for extra rewards. If you’re in top form, you can reach the Mercury with a “flawless” ticket and loot the chest with the beautiful loot.
