Today, on February 2nd, server maintenance is taking place for the MMO shooter Destiny. Guardians may experience issues.
Currently, Bungie is diligently working behind the scenes on the servers. Just last week, maintenance occurred, which had no impact on gameplay. And today, work has already been announced again:
- At 6 PM our time, the maintenance will begin. This is expected to have only minimal effects on the Guardians. If you are taken back to the title screen, you should be able to log back in and continue playing as usual. If you notice any further issues, you should report them in Bungie’s help forum .
- Around 8 PM, the maintenance work will be completed.
A changelog is not provided. Thus, there is no update today that affects the player experience. However, it seems that Bungie is now preparing the servers for what is to come in the future. We may know more tomorrow night when “This Week at Bungie” is released.
We should know at the latest in a week what the future of Destiny looks like. Then Activision will hold an investors’ conference.
By the way: This morning, the Bungie site was down for several hours. During that time, it was inaccessible. These issues have now been resolved.
You surely all remember them: Here we present the 11 most important weapons from Year 1 of Destiny.
