The Silence of A’arn deals solar damage and belongs to the mid shotgun archetype with 61 impact. The magazine size is very high. Disadvantages lie in range, stability, reload speed, and aim assist.
The perks are:
Will of Light: Bonus damage against the Taken
Cocoon: When the weapon is stowed, it automatically reloads from reserves
Random Perk: Lifesteal, Surrounded, One-Man Army, or Close and/or Personal
Choice between:
Hand-Laid Stock: Increased stability, reduced range
Hand Loader: Effective at longer range
Lightweight: +2 character agility
Additionally, there is Field Choke, Improved Ballistics, and Linear Compensator.
Due to the poor range, the Silence of A’arn is not useful in PvP. You can use the shotgun in PvE.
