In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Weekly Update is cancelled on Thursday evening; instead, they are addressing the lag in the Iron Banner.
Normally, there is a Weekly Update on the night from Thursday to Friday. There, Bungie presents its plans and ideas for the future and discusses the present.
After the leadership change and the huge troubles lately, one might have expected something significant to happen today, relieving the pressure by having Bungie drop information about their further plans – but no such luck. The Weekly Update is cancelled today and has been postponed until tomorrow.
Instead, new rules for matchmaking in the Iron Banner are now in effect. These will place even more emphasis on “good connection quality” and even less emphasis on finding skill-matched team pairings.
These results will now be measured again and everything will be compared.
The Weekly Update will not come until Friday evening. Also, on Friday, January 29th, Xur will arrive in the Tower at 10:00 AM. We will report on both.
