We take a look at what is known and what is not about the next patch in Destiny.
It is March 2016. Spring begins in 3 days. Time to take a look at what the “Spring Update” announced by Bungie is about. It is supposed to be “the biggest new thing since The Taken King.”
It’s time for new game content. The last time there was really new content for Destiny was in September 2015, when “The Taken King” was released. In December, they added some additional challenges in the raid, but that was actually it.

In September, it was said: This is now year 2. We can’t wait to show you everything we’ve planned for year 2.
In the meantime, it is becoming evident what Bungie has planned for content in year 2: Obviously, only one content patch after “The Taken King,” which is supposed to come in the spring. After that, the next paid expansion will probably already lead into year 3.
Otherwise, Destiny has so far relied on limited-time events like the Sparrow Racing or the Crimson Days and on “smaller updates,” like the one in December. There, they changed the balance and introduced some exotic weapons and armor again. But fresh game content has been scarce so far.
That is supposed to change in the spring. What can we expect for the presumably only “content patch” in year 2?
