Bungie might be planning a new project alongside the shooter Destiny .
It has been announced on Twitter by Cameron Lee that he is now new at Bungie. He is working on a “yet-to-be-announced” project.
Happy to say I’ve joined Bungie as Executive Producer of a new project. Excited to talk about it in the future. #Bungie

Cameron Lee is a producer and has worked on the role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition for Bioware. A producer takes care of the organizational aspects of game development, focusing on management. Lee is expected to be the “Executive Producer” on the new project – a leadership role.
For the “unannounced Project,” it is unclear what exactly it is. It could be something related to Destiny, an expansion, another DLC, or something similar. It could also be a new game, a new franchise, or IP. That’s hard to say.
Cameron Lee was welcomed on Twitter by Mark Noseworthy, who was a producer on Destiny, worked on “The Taken King,” and was the partner of Chief Creative Luke Smith. According to his Twitter profile, Noseworthy is now “Project Lead on a future Bungie Game” – Hmm, interesting.

Is Bungie even allowed to develop a new game?
The question is whether Bungie is allowed to develop a new game while still working on Destiny or if they promised publisher Activision not to do anything other than Destiny.
A version of an old contract from 2012 between Bungie and Activision regarding Destiny is circulating. It is a long document, and we do not know if it was signed as such or if there have been any changes. One clause states that Bungie cannot develop any further games until certain production goals are met.
Two years after development, Bungie could then work on a new development, it is said. So Bungie could now resume the development of a new game.

However, further passages in the contract stipulate that Bungie cannot do anything in the “Action/Shooter” genre until “Comet #3” has been released. Comet #3 would have originally been due in the fall of 2018. Comet #3 was then supposed to be a “larger add-on” that would follow Destiny 3.
Bungie is already two years behind schedule on Destiny, which would mean that it would only be possible to do something in the action area in the fall of 2020 again. It is difficult to say how things stand today.
Fans rejoice: Ahamkara confirmed!
Considering that Cameron Lee has “RPG” experience, this might mean that Bungie is working on an RPG. But that is all speculation. Perhaps Cameron Lee is simply working on the first DLC after “Destiny 2” or he is involved in “Comet #2,” a major expansion for Destiny 2 that we can likely expect in September 2018 – similar to “The Taken King.”
We simply do not know Bungie’s plans – and aside from a few leaks and rumors, the studio is really tight-lipped.
Fans are already rejoicing: Producer of Dragon Age now at Bungie? Ahamkara confirmed!
When Destiny was released, Bungie repeatedly emphasized that they see the game as their “Destiny” and would not do anything else for the next few years.
Enough speculation, back to the present: Here are the strike-exclusive weapons in Destiny – Are they worth it?
Destiny: These 8 weapons are only available in Strikes – Which is worth it?
