In Destiny, you can achieve T12 with the Iron Banner gear in January. Some armor pieces from Efrideet even have 100%!
This week, the Iron Banner is running in January 2017. Lord Efrideet has taken her position at the Felwinter Peak and is now presenting her inventory to the Guardians. In addition to “Iron Banner” loot cycles, she has weapons and armor pieces with fixed rolls.
Although the two weapons in her offering carry strong perks, they are not particularly sought after. The rocket launcher “The Titanium Orchid” and the pistol “The Blinding Brand” are not among those few top-tier weapons that must not be missing from any inventory. They are rather off-the-shelf weapons.
The armor pieces, on the other hand, are more interesting for some Guardians. With the Iron Banner gear this week, you can obtain T12-capable armor with which you can reach “the final goal” in Destiny.
What is T12?
You have three attributes that you can influence with your armor: Discipline, Strength, and Intellect. Each attribute can be upgraded by a maximum of 5 levels (tiers). The more levels are filled, the shorter the cooldown of the corresponding ability.
However, not all 5 ranks of all attributes can be filled simultaneously. Instead, the goal is to distribute 12 ranks. For example, if a Guardian speaks of a 5/5/2 distribution, they have maximized Intellect and Discipline and also unlocked two fields of Strength.
How many tiers you can unlock depends on the stats of your armor pieces. If you wear only T12-capable armor pieces, the T12 goal is reached.
Are the Iron Banner armor pieces T12-capable?
In the January Iron Banner, you can purchase the chest armor and gauntlets from Efrideet from rank 3 and for 25 Legendary Marks.
- The maximum distribution for gauntlets is 41 and 58 (with active node). The total maximum is 99.
- For chest armor, a maximum of 61 and 86 (with active node) is possible. This totals 147.
If a chest armor has, for example, 86 Discipline and 61 Strength, it has 100%. It cannot have better stats.
By the way, 100% is not even necessary for T12. If your armor pieces have over 97%, that is sufficient for T12.
