In the MMO shooter Destiny , the spring update will be released in a month.
Today, there were new infos from Bungie in “This Week at Bungie.” It’s about the big content patch scheduled for spring.
The spring update finally has a date
The spring update will now be called the “April Update.” It is set to release on April 12, 2016. The official name is “Update 2.2.0.” Included will be:
- new PvE challenges
- new and updated gear
- a new quest that includes the “Blighted Chalice Strike”
- an increase in the maximum light level and rewards
- sandbox and crucible updates (that are probably balance changes)
- … and more (with three significant dots).
Bungie will present the next free update of Destiny in three streams
The update will be free if you have “The Taken King.” So just download it and that’s it.
It will be presented over the next three Wednesdays. These are March 24, March 31, and April 6. Each at 11 AM Pacific Time. For us, that’s the first time at 7 PM and then twice at 8 PM. (There’s the time change on Sunday, the 27th, in Germany in between).
- In the first stream on the 23rd at 7:00 PM, it will be about new game content.
- In the second stream on the 30th at 8:00 PM about the new rewards.
- And in the 3rd stream on April 6 at 8:00 PM, it will be about balance changes.
What all this means exactly, what will happen in the April update, we will learn in the coming weeks. We at Mein-MMO will likely accompany the three live streams with a live ticker in German.
Today, we have dealt with what could be coming and what the keywords from Bungie might conceal. The only “new” information about the content is regarding the quest and the “Blighted Chalice Strike” (something like corrupted chalice) – that sounds quite like the Taken:
