Patch Notes for Update 2.4.0.3 on PS4 and Xbox One
On time for the release of the update, Bungie released the patch notes. This update primarily addresses the issues in Strikes.
Strikes:
- The revised Strike with the Hive monstrosity now drops rewards at the correct light level.
- The Winter Storm Strike also now drops rewards at the designated light level. On Tuesday, this strike was the Nightfall strike, but it caused issues, which is why it was replaced.
- A problem was fixed that caused the “Echo Chamber” Strike to appear in the wrong playlist.
- The Omnigul farming method no longer works: it drops rewards only once per strike. To make it drop rewards again, the strike must be completed.
In the past, Omnigul was often “exploited” with a trick to quickly obtain “Clutch of Malok” or to efficiently level up in light.
Archon’s Forge:
- Quarantine patrol missions now guarantee a SIVA victim drop if you defeat the Splicer Priest in the second phase of the activity.
- The chance for SIVA victims is higher within Archon’s Forge than before if you successfully complete them.

Items:
- A problem was fixed where some players did not receive a Gjallarhorn after a successful quest. You can now obtain the rocket launcher from the weapon blueprint kiosk.
- Vanguard Call Boosters now work in the SIVA Crisis Strike playlist. There was an issue here.
The “Contacting Server” issue is occurring frequently
Additionally, there are currently reports that servers are taking a long time to retrieve data. The bottom right of the screen often displays “Contacting Server.” Bungie has not yet commented on this.
Update: The problem seems to have largely been resolved by now.
