Xur brings Gjallarhorn for the 2nd time

The first time, hardly anyone purchased when Xur brought the Gjallarhorn. That was set to change in August 2015.

Many had already suspected it, and indeed it became true: At the end of year 1 in Destiny, the old noodle face brought the Gjallarhorn.

Anyone who had not yet acquired the “golden crowbar” by then could finally join the conversation. The weapon had earned a legendary reputation, as it could take down bosses simply without considering their gameplay mechanics.

And Xur now sold it just like that. Anyone could have it!

This even topped the day when Xur once brought the Icebreaker – back then there were record sales, according to Bungie.

The “Gjallarhorn day” in Destiny was “bittersweet”, as there wasn’t much one could even do with the weapon anymore. “House of Wolves” had long been farmed. The expansion “The Taken King” and year 2 were already around the corner – from then on Gjallarhorn was no longer in demand.
