In Destiny we will look at exotic weapons that are missing in the game.
Cunning Guardians have already discovered hidden Exotics in the database and in trailers for “The Taken King,” which are still not obtainable in-game. In mid-September, a list of new perks appeared for “Rise of Iron” which some can be attributed to these hidden weapons. The question is: When will the weapons and perks become active in the game?
A Mysterious Rocket Launcher
The first weapon is an exotic rocket launcher, which has a unique appearance. It has already received various nicknames in the community, one of the more appropriate ones is “The Microphone.” Due to its perks, it is commonly referred to as the Volley-Launcher. This icon is known for:
According to the data found, it deals Arc damage. The following perks, which are associated with the major “Rise of Iron” update and have not yet been found, can be attributed to this rocket launcher:
- Dubious Ordnance – This weapon delivers a high-energy volley of explosive ordnance.
- Dubious Munitions – Kills from the volley add another round to the volley.
What exactly to make of this is hard to say. Presumably, this rocket launcher fires several small rockets. This also fits the appearance of the weapon: Multiple small holes are visible from which a swarm of rockets could emerge.
“Volley” can also be translated as “hail” or “flood.” Therefore, it is possible that with this weapon, you hold down the trigger and many small rockets are fired one after the other. Through “Dubious Munitions,” this rocket flood could be extended. These are just speculations, but such a weapon would certainly be cool.
Solar and Void Thunderlord
Two more Exotics have already been spotted that Guardians cannot yet possess. They are also heavy weapons: one Void and one Solar version of the Thunderlord machine gun.
The “Standard-Version” of the Thunderlord deals Arc damage. However, it should be noted that these two hidden Exotics are not officially variants of the Thunderlord. There are, however, three clues for this:
- The icons are clearly associated with the Thunderlord.
- They have also been spotted in GameInformer trailers and in the official launch trailer for “The Taken King.”
The standard Thunderlord comes with “Lightning Rounds,” or Lightning Bullets: The longer the trigger is pressed, the faster and more accurately the weapon fires. With Incendiary Rounds (likely Solar) and Negative Rounds (likely Void), there are now the respective equivalents.
Interesting: Among the new perks, there is also “Chasm Rounds,” which has the same icon as “Negative Rounds” and produces the same effect. What this is about remains unknown.
When will these exotic weapons come to the game?
It is unlikely that these three weapons are available right now. Guardians have already discovered the biggest secrets, such as the Outbreak Prime. The idea that three exotic weapons are still hiding somewhere is probably not the case.
A scenario is conceivable: With the upcoming Winter Event, the Sparrow Racing League, Bungie suggests that sufficient content will come to engage all Guardians. Not just those who enjoy intense racing. Quests for one or more of these weapons will probably become active once the SRL starts. The future will tell.
