In Destiny, two Guardians got engaged in-game. Without Bungie, this would not have been possible in this way.
So, now it’s time for a curious and touching love story that actually took place last Friday. Rami Ismail logged into the MMO shooter as usual to fulfill his noble duties as a Guardian. But this time, something was different: The post office in the Tower had a letter for him – from his girlfriend Adriel!
Both Rami and Adriel are game developers, and Bungie made a dream engagement in Destiny possible for them. The whole story can be followed on the Twitter accounts of both. Below, we embed some tweets from the two that tell the moving story.
Letter, Gesture, Ring – Bungie thought of everything
The unforgettable day for both starts with the mentioned romantic letter that Adriel sent to Rami:
We summarize it in the least romantic way possible: “We have experienced a lot together. I want to spend the future adventures by your side. Will you marry me?”
Additionally, Bungie created a unique gesture for her, which allowed her to kneel before him:
Also amusing is the “wedding vow” that is specified with this gesture: Here it does not say “Until death do us part”, but “As long as we both have light”.

By the way, there were severe problems with the PSN on Friday, which almost caused the engagement to fall through. However, the servers fortunately ran smoothly when the proposal was made.
