In the MMO shooter Destiny , the Hand Cannon The First Curse is one of the most difficult exotic weapons to obtain. Here’s how you can get the Hand Cannon.
The First Curse is a Hand Cannon and currently one of the rarest weapons in Destiny. Because you need Renown Rank 5 with weapons master Banshee-44. This requires several weeks of work, as you have to always walk your test weapons. At Rank 2 with Banshee-44, there’s a legendary weapon that fits your class, at Rank 3 an exotic weapon, which also adjusts to your class.
However, at Renown Rank 5, everyone in Destiny receives the same weapon. It’s The First Curse, a Hand Cannon that is the counterpart to “The Last Word.” Even though Hand Cannons are currently considered somewhat weak and Pulse Rifles play a dominant role, that might change soon: The next balance patch is coming to Destiny in December.
Why is the weapon so rare? Only at Renown Rank 5 does the search begin, which then takes another two weeks, as you have to wait twice for the weapons day in Destiny.
The Search Curse in Destiny
The actual search, which starts with Renown Rank 5, is called “Curse.” For this, you first need to gather 250 Hand Cannon kills while a telemetry for primary weapons or Hand Cannons is active. Even if you have an item that gives a bonus to Hand Cannons, that’s enough.
Now you have to wait a week. Then the next step “Weapon Skills” begins.
What you need to do in the search step Weapon Skills
In the first step, you need to elevate the gray Hand Cannon “Curse” to an attack value of 260 through infusion. Then you can unlock the perk “Complete Ascend,” and this first step is done.
You can complete the second step in the mission “Siege of the Warmind.” You need a 7-kill streak in PvE. It’s not a huge deal. If you need help, check the video.
The next step is trickier; you need 7 precision kills in a Crucible match. You can die in between; the main thing is that you achieve 7 kills through headshots in a Crucible match by the end.
Once you have submitted the search, you’ll have to wait another week for the weapons day.
And then there’s the Hand Cannon “The First Curse” in Destiny. The search looks much more difficult than it is.
