Starting the quest line – how to find calcified fragments while patrolling
To even receive the quest, you must find a calcified fragment on Oryx’s Dreadnaught. These fragments form the backbone of the quest line. More of these mysterious objects need to be found in regular increments.
In total, 50 of these fragments are scattered across the Dreadnaught, of which the locations of 45 are known (these are also sufficient to complete the quest). Just by keeping your eyes open while patrolling the Dreadnaught, you can already find 22 of these fragments. Your Ghost will assist you in the search. If you stand before a supposed abyss, the Ghost can show you platforms to jump on. This allows you to access areas that are not normally reachable.
Once you find the first fragment, a quest marker will appear in the Tower, specifically with Eris Morn, who has made herself comfortable with the folks in the Crucible since the start of the expansion.You will receive the quest “Shattered Past” from Eris.

Eris tasks you with finding 5 more calcified fragments. You can find these again while patrolling the Dreadnaught. Return to Eris to complete this mission.
To activate the next step of the quest line, you need to find a total of 15 calcified fragments. Once you’ve done this, you can receive the quest “Hunger” from Eris.
Hunger
Your task is to send a Taken Centurion in the mission Prometheus Code across the River Jordan on Heroic difficulty. For this, you need 240 Light. The mission will be significantly easier if you have teammates to assist you.
Once this task is completed, return to Eris. Now things start to get complicated.
