Also in the new expansion The Taken King, there is an exotic weapon that can only be obtained through the King’s Fall raid. Unlike the Vex Mythoclast and Necrochasm, which required certain drops from the raid bosses, the fall of Oryx for Touch of Malice is just the beginning of a long journey.
We will show you which quests you need to complete for Touch of Malice, what enemies you need to defeat, and what you should look for in the depths of the Dreadnaught. And most importantly, we will show you where you can find a lot of calcified fragments.
But first, to the nice part: What can you expect at the end of the journey? What can the Touch of Malice do?
The perks of Touch of Malice, the new raid weapon in Destiny with The Taken King
Touch of Malice is representative of those scout rifles that have a fast fire rate and lower impact. In this particular case, however, we have a wolf in sheep’s clothing, due to the combination of perks. But let’s go in order:
- Exotic Perk: The last round of this weapon regenerates and deals bonus damage at the cost of the wielder’s health.
- Hidden Perk: Fully automatic. This weapon can be fired in full-auto mode.
- First column: Soft Ballistics, Linear Compensator, or Aggressive Ballistics
- Second column: Eye of the Storm, this weapon becomes more accurate the lower the wielder’s health.
- Third column: Snapshot, Hammer-Forged, or Faster Reload
- Fourth column: Touch of Grace, three quick kills return some health to the wielder.
The exotic perk in itself sounds good but leaves a bitter aftertaste, as the health loss can quickly lead to finding oneself in a hopeless situation. Only when the Touch of Grace perk is unlocked does the full potential reveal itself.
With three quick consecutive kills, you regain the health that the exotic perk costs you while shooting. Since you can infinitely trigger the last round, you therefore have unlimited access to the bonus damage. If you also have a Titan with Blessing of the Dawn and Blessing of Light, you are nearly unstoppable.
