In Destiny, the announced multi-hour maintenance work this week has been postponed.
In the last “This Week at Bungie,” the developers announced their plans for an extended maintenance with downtime. This was supposed to start on Thursday, May 4, at 7 PM and last until approximately 11 PM. During this time, you would not have been able to play the MMO shooter.
But now Bungie writes: “Hold the phone!”
Via Twitter, they share that the maintenance and downtime need to be postponed. A new date and time will be announced as soon as they are known.
In short: Your evening on Thursday is not in danger after all. If you were already preparing to stare at the wall with a sad face all evening, you can now arrange a raid run or a Crucible session with your buddies. This week, it’s off to the Glass Chamber – a Fatebringer, a Vision of Confluence, or even the Vex Mythoclast are waiting for you.
What was supposed to change this Thursday?
The downtime was supposed to not bring any changes to the game content. Bungie will likely use this time to tidy up the online services in the background. The last announced multi-hour downtime was quite some time ago. A lot has probably piled up.
As soon as Bungie gives out the information on the new date for the maintenance and when the evening plans are again at risk, you’ll find out promptly on Mein-MMO.de.
In Destiny, the focus is increasingly on May 18. Then there will be a large-scale gameplay reveal for Destiny 2. That means: Finally, there will be in-game footage and information about the gameplay. We embed articles about Destiny 2 for you, with which you can already prepare for this event:
