In Destiny, Bungie finally reveals when the PlayStation-exclusive content will be coming to Xbox.
Since autumn 2015, Xbox Guardians have been waiting for the time-exclusive PS4 content. That’s a long time. Almost two years.
Many expected that this content would be available for all Destiny players in autumn 2016, as it was marked “time-exclusive until at least autumn 2016.” However, in summer 2016, the surprise came: No, the content remains exclusive – and new content will be added!
Now Bungie finally talks about this PlayStation-exclusive content. It will come to Xbox in autumn 2017.
Over two years of time exclusivity
All content that has been available only on PlayStation since autumn 2015 will be available on Xbox in October 2017.
- The exclusive content from “The Taken King” will also be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360
- and the exclusive content from “The Rise of Iron” on Xbox One (not on Xbox 360)
Bungie will announce a specific date shortly before the content arrives on Xbox. But one thing is certain: For all Xbox players who will continue their Guardian journey in Destiny 2 at the beginning of September, this content in Destiny 1 will be too late.
Which content is currently only playable on PlayStation?
Already in Year 1 of Destiny, there were PlayStation-exclusive contents, such as the exotic hand cannon “Hawkmoon.” These appeared on Xbox in autumn 2015. All other exclusive contents are due in October 2017:
- The Taken King introduced exclusive armor pieces, the Strike “Echo Chamber,” the Crucible map “Sector 618,” and the scout rifle The Jade Rabbit as exclusive content.
- With the April Update in April 2016, the sniper rifle Zen Meteor, the Velumbra Sparrow, armor pieces, and an exclusive quest were added.
- With The Rise of Iron, there was an exclusive quest, a PvP map (Icarus), and the ship “Timeless Tereshkova.”
The PS4-exclusive Content for Destiny 2 is already known.
