Currently, the Festival of the Lost 2016 is in full swing in Destiny. We reveal 5 things that you should not miss during the Halloween event.
From October 25th to November 8th, the Festival of the Lost is running in Bungie’s MMO shooter. Many Guardians are excited about the opportunity to don cool paper masks and celebrate Halloween in-game. However, some other Guardians consider this distraction to be pointless nonsense that only hinders maximizing light levels and fulfilling their noble duties as Guardians.
You may have little time in these two weeks to explore the Festival of the Lost thoroughly and discover all its secrets. Therefore, we now provide you with a list of 5 things you should not miss. The festival offers more than just masks and items for real-world currency.
Grab the Emblems
During the Halloween event, there are two emblems to earn. Collectors among you should not miss this opportunity.
- You will receive one emblem by completing the new quest from Tyra Karn. In the process, you must wear the “Lord Saladin” mask for various tasks. You can quickly collect the needed relic kills in the Archon Forge.
- The second emblem cannot currently be obtained. It will only be available during the Trials of Osiris. The Trials are supposed to be creepy.
Get the Shaders
During the festival, there are four special shaders:

Complete Eva Levante’s Quest Line
By mastering Eva Levante’s quest line, you will receive a Treasure of the Lost. This can contain various items, including the ornaments for “Bad Karma”. Otherwise, you can only obtain these treasures through real money purchases. By the way: The ornaments for the exotic pulse rifle will be included in Radiant Treasures after the festival. If you want to have these, you don’t have to buy treasures of the Lost at all costs.
Collect Masks, as many as you want
At Eva Levante’s, you get masks by repeatedly collecting candies for her and completing quests. These are easy, quick, and reliably obtainable. Most other masks are obtained through treasures of the Lost. You can get the “Lord Saladin” mask from Tyra Karn.
Find the Lost Broom!
The robot in the tower near the post office is sad because it lost its broom. You can find it in the hangar bar. When you pick it up, it turns into a Sparrow that you can use to zip around. Read here how to get the “Lost Broom” Sparrow. This broom will disappear once the event is over.
The Lost Broom and the Superblack Shader are currently the highlights of the event. But possibly more secrets will emerge in the coming days. For example, the functionality of the piece of celery is still unclear…
