The Iron Banner in February 2017 has a date in Destiny. Additionally, a balancing is underway. Initial information is known.
In the “This Week at Bungie” there is some information about the future of Destiny. Regarding the start of the February Iron Banner. Many Guardians expected a date this week or last week, now we know:
- The February Iron Banner starts on February 28 at 7 PM.
- It ends on March 7 at 10 AM with the weekly reset.
- The game mode is Control.
This time, the sniper rifle and the hand cannon are featured. Information about these weapons can be found in our overview of Iron Banner weapons since RoI. The armor pieces are the helmet and leg armor.
Next weapon balancing is coming
Senior Designer Josh Hamrick talks about the current meta in PvP and what changes will be implemented in the future. However, these adjustments are still being tested and may change. However, they want to give the Guardians an early look:
- Pistols: These are currently too dominant. The plan is for pistols to still provide a small amount of special ammo after death, but not save any extra. This means you will have to look for special ammo crates more often.
- Skorri’s Revenge: For the effect of Skorri to take place, you need to get a kill first. The effect lasts for a minute. After that, another kill is required. Bungie believes that this will not have a big impact in PvE, as you should be able to kill an enemy every 60 seconds. But in the Trials, the Skorri bearers will be forced into more activity.
- Truth: This rocket launcher was harshly nerfed with 2.5.0.2. It can now carry only one projectile. The change now allows you to gain an additional projectile in your inventory and the reload speed of the Truth will be maximized.
- No Land Beyond: The flinch will be adjusted – it will be made like other sniper rifles.
- Quick Teleport: The recovery nerf will be removed. Additionally, the time during which the HUD is disabled will be shorter.
These changes will come alongside those related to the regeneration perks. There is no specific date yet for when this patch will be deployed.
