But where can you get exotic shards? What is the most effective way to obtain them? P.S.: Our tip: Keep in mind that exotic armor can have different values. You might get a “better” version of your gear from Xur and then dismantle the old one for an exotic shard. And one more note to keep in mind: Dismantling fully upgraded exotic weapons gives you two shards right away.
