What is special about sniper rifles?
Sniper rifles shoot slowly but are deadly on critical hits. They have the longest range of any weapon in the game.
The main attribute is stability. Stability determines the intensity of the kick, i.e., how hard and in which direction the rifle kicks after a shot. If your first attempt at a critical hit fails, you want to aim again as quickly as possible to land a second hit. Sniper rifles with full stability hardly deviate after a shot.
Which sniper rifles do I need in Destiny?
Sniper rifles can be fundamentally divided into two categories in Destiny:
• High Fire Rate, Low Impact
• Low Fire Rate, High Impact

It comes down to personal preference. Quickly shooting sniper rifles with low impact have a disadvantage in PvP, especially in the Trials of Osiris. When one of your enemies is revived, they receive a shield for a short time.
A critical hit from the high fire rate, low impact category cannot take down shielded enemies with a critical hit. If you are not a master marksman, this category might still suit you better because you can land two body shots more quickly, which in most cases are equally lethal (exceptions are the aforementioned shield after reviving or a Warlock with the Ram, this exotic helmet increases your armor value and thus the damage needed to kill you).
On the next page, we will present you with the 6 best sniper rifles that you can still get in House of Wolves. Four of them can be reforged, two cannot, but they are worth a look.
