In the MMO shooter Destiny a new Crucible mode called Elimination started at 7:00 PM on June 9th.
It had been announced for some time that the “Trials of Osiris” mode Elimination would also come outside of the event. Bungie just announced that it is now active starting tonight at 7:00 PM. It will likely be treated like the Inferno events, brought back from time to time.
Like in the Trials of Osiris it is a 3v3 deathmatch with special rules and a best-of-9 series, but with some differences:
- There is matchmaking, Bungie finds you friends
- The maps rotate – so it is not just one
- Level advantages do not matter, as in the normal Crucible
- You match opponents based on skill, not as in Trials of Osiris based on connection
- And there are “normal” rewards, so the improved ones from House of Wolves, but nothing related to Brother Vance
The new Elimination playlist is active until June 16th, exactly one week. The perfect opportunity to practice Elimination without the heavy pressure like usual, Bungie states.
