There’s reason for trouble in Destiny. The current Iron Banner event apparently requires ownership of the DLC “Darkness Awaits”, although Bungie explicitly excluded this beforehand.
Last Tuesday there was a lot of trouble, because the weekly Nightfall strike was only playable for owners of the “Darkness Awaits” expansion. Non-buyers of the DLC were upset that they could do less this week than in previous weeks. And they expressed this.
Now it’s starting again this week: Apparently, Guardians without the DLC “Darkness Awaits” cannot participate in the Iron Banner, the monthly PvP event Iron Banner, Last Friday during the Weekly Update, they assured that the DLC would not be needed.
Therefore, it seems that there is a bug here. Which hopefully gets fixed quickly.
