In Destiny, we look at the weapon rolls of the December Iron Banner 2016. A purchase is worth it!
Efrideet is back! On December 6th at 7 PM, she heralded the last Iron Banner of this year. Although the controversial mode “Rift” is next, it is worth it to “banner” in December because Efrideet brings weapons with outstanding rolls.
In recent months, some Guardians complained that it has hardly been worthwhile to reach Iron Banner Rank 5 since RoI. Because there are no more rewards when reaching the highest rank. The rewards are now obtained by completing the bounties. However, this month it is worth climbing to Rank 5: Because then you can acquire the scout rifle “The Far Star” with a “nearly God-Roll”.
The Far Star – Roll in the December Iron Banner
Starting from Iron Banner Rank 5 and with 50 Legendary Marks, you can purchase The Far Star. This scout rifle comes with a high reload speed and a strong aim assist, while the stability and magazine size are low. The Far Star belongs to the MIDA archetype.
After Iron Banner matches, the weapon can drop with random perks. With Efrideet, it is available with a fixed selection of perks – which is outstanding:
You have the choice between:
- Angular Frame: Increased stability, reduced magazine size
- Hand-Laid Stock: Increased stability, reduced range
Choice between:
- Fully Automatic
- Larger Magazine
Choice between:
- Hidden Hand: The weapon improves target acquisition.
- Fireball: Precise kills cause the target to explode.
Additionally, the weapon comes with Iron Red Dot, Iron Warrior Scope, and Iron Range Scope.
In the first column, the Hand-Laid Stock is probably more useful, as losing a bit of range is better than losing rounds in the magazine. In this column, “Perfect Balance” would be even better, which would make it a “God-Roll.” Fully automatic and Hidden Hand are excellent for this scout rifle. Fireball is also interesting in PvE.
You won’t find a much better Far Star. If a strong roll doesn’t drop after the matches, grab this one!
The Brandmarked Lord – Roll in the December “Iron Banner”
The fusion rifle “The Brandmarked Lord” can already be purchased starting from Iron Banner Rank 4 and with 50 Legendary Marks. The weapon comes with a low startup time, high aim assist, high reload speed, and above-average range. The impact is low.
The perks with Efrideet are solid:
You have the choice between:
- Extended Barrel: Increased range, slower reload
- Hand-Laid Stock: Increased stability, reduced range
Choice between:
- Single Point Sling: Weapons are switched faster, you move faster while aiming.
- Accelerated Coils: Reduces the load time, but lower damage.
Choice between:
- Hot-Swap: Readying the weapon grants temporary bonus precision.
- Snapshot Sights: Aiming increases the effective range.
With Linear Compensator, Improved Ballistics, and Field Choke, you adjust a bit of range, impact, and recoil.
In the first perk column, Hand-Laid Stock is recommended for stability. Single Point Sling is preferred over Accelerated Coils, as the coils reduce the impact too much. “One Hit Kills” will be difficult with the coils. In the last column, Snapshot Sights dominate.
Note: For the armor pieces, there are the helmets and class items.
Are you getting both weapons?
