A deaf Guardian demands better subtitles from Bungie for Destiny .
The problem with Destiny and the subtitles is, as a discussion reveals, that Bungie has added subtitles for the “main storyline,” but the small NPC dialogues that make up much of the actual game are not included as subtitles.
The deaf Guardian Tigersharkdude has initiated a discussion on Reddit, advocating for Bungie to provide subtitles for the random remarks of the NPCs. The murmurs of Variks when you walk by him in the Reef, a comment from Rahool about the recently decrypted engram, or Shaxx’s “Show no mercy” shout in the Crucible should be included.
It’s precisely these dialogues – and not the big story elements – that bring the world alive for the Guardians, it seems. Guardians on Reddit and elsewhere show great understanding for the deaf Guardian’s request: Everyone should be able to hear Shaxx’s shout, as one comment states. The Reddit thread has received numerous positive reactions, standing at nearly 4800 upvotes and over 600 comments.
Community Manager Cozmo has already responded and assured that he will pass the request on to the relevant developers.
