In the MMO shooter Destiny, a strange bug has appeared on the map “The Burning Shrine” during the Trials of Osiris.
Every Friday to Tuesday, the Trials of Osiris take place: In this PvP event, teams of three Guardians compete against each other, aiming to complete the points map to finally reach Mercury and let the fresh loot flow from the chest.
In the Trials, besides having strong gear, a well-coordinated team, and communication among themselves, the following is also very important: Navigation on the map. Where are my allies? Where are the enemies? How do I get from one point to another the fastest?
Last week, a Guardian experienced a curious problem that threw her knowledge of the map “The Burning Shrine” upside down.
The Burning Shrine Closes Its Gates
A week ago, the Trials of Osiris map was “The Burning Shrine”. Here, the Guardian with the striking name ItzBrittanyBitxh made a questionable discovery. See for yourself:
“Normally,” a half-open wall should be rotating here, which can be easily traversed or used as a cover opportunity. People often lie in wait here and snipe.
But in the video above, something is obviously not right at this point: Only a small opening peeks through this rotating blockade. According to the Guardian, one could just barely squeeze through it.
This rare bug is unlikely to require immediate intervention from Bungie: It is more of the “curious” and “amusing” category and is not expected to significantly impact game balance. So far, no statement from Bungie regarding this issue has been known.
A few weeks ago, the “Rocket Crisis” in Destiny was significantly more severe. This glitch caused Guardians – even in the Crucible – to generate infinite Heavy Ammo. Bungie had to intervene directly and canceled the Trials of Osiris.
