Determining the right fireteam leader can still be crucial now that the exploit no longer works. On Reddit, some guardians report that Crota is much easier for the sword bearer if that person is also the fireteam leader, the “host” of the game.
Because then you can be sure that he is really “kneeling” in the actual current game and not just in his own version of it. According to people who have faced Crota as the sword bearer, there is a huge difference. Because here you only have a small window to land the crucial hits on Crota, and if you miss this window, the fight drags on and can go badly in the worst case.
