In Destiny the clan features, including the new clan overview, are active. Additionally, there are indications that private matches will start before the launch of “Rise of Iron”.
Bungie announced a few hours ago via Twitter that the clan features, including the clan overview (Clan-Roster), are now online. In preparation for this new feature, they were disabled in the last few days.
If you now go to the character overview and click on “Overview” on the left, you will see more information about your friends than before. In the middle column, you see all your friends who are currently online or offline. Next to it, the fireteam is listed, showing who is currently in the same fireteam with you in the game. The “new” element is on the right side of the screen: Here all members of your clan are listed, regardless of whether they are currently online or not.
Additionally, you will see the clan name again in your badge, which you can proudly carry into battles from now on.
Your clan gains importance with the introduction of private matches: Because when you host a match, the clan of the fireteam leader is displayed as the organizer.
Are private matches coming sooner than expected?
This evening, MLG is hosting a livestream about the private matches. This e-sport team will show you the true meaning of war as they play a best-of-five matchup in the new supremacy mode.
Currently, an email is circulating on reddit indicating that private matches will be available not only for MLG but for all guardians before “Rise of Iron”. This email was received by the user from Bungie’s PR team.
According to this email, it will be announced during today’s MLG stream that the “private match” feature is “now” available on PS4 and Xbox One. This is meant to celebrate the upcoming launch of RoI.
