In the MMO shooter Destiny , the expansion “The Taken King” is coming in just over a month. The backstory is told in a cinematic trailer. We have the trailer in German.
It is Eris Morn, who somehow always manages to perfectly line up the orbs for story trailers, and then she passionately whispers the story, giving it the necessary weight. She addresses the Guardian as “You” and tells how he descended into the darkness to kill Crota and avenge her.
With his last breath, Crota screamed into the darkness and the darkness responded: Oryx, Crota’s father, is here, and he means business, seeking revenge. Oryx is the namesake Taken King, the great antagonist in the upcoming and first major expansion of Destiny, which will be released in mid-September.
The part with the LAN cable during Crota is, by the way, respectfully omitted by Eris Morn.
