In the MMO shooter Destiny , a comic by a talented fan has been released. It tells the story of Cayde-6.
Cayde-6, a daring Exo-Hunter, has been the secret star of Destiny since the expansion. He is originally voiced by Nathan Fillion, who is assured eternal fame since Firefly and now earns his living as Castle. In Destiny, Cayde-6 is a thrill-seeker with rugged charm, who doesn’t take the “world-is-about-to-end-and-we-have-no-chance-against-the-alien-overpower” situation as seriously as others, but rather celebrates the fun of the hardcore Guardian life.
A fan now tells the story of Cayde-6 in a comic, as he finds himself in a nearly hopeless position while fighting against the Hive (there are 3 pages, you can flip through them below on Imgur).
In the story, Cayde flees from the overwhelming Hive, against which he can barely hold his ground. While taking cover, he barely notices that a Fallen is also defending herself against the Hive. Side by side, they unleash magazine after magazine into the attacking hordes, until they finally sit exhausted, wounded, and nearly out of ammo next to each other.
The Fallen throws Cayde a shock pistol as a gift, but as Cayde reaches for the pistol, the Fallen lunges at him with a drawn knife…
Cayde is able to defeat the severely injured alien woman and kills her. Since then, he wonders whether she hated him so much or if she wanted to die by his hand. One thing he knows: he has dispatched several Thralls with her pistol.
