A YouTube artist built two of the biggest and most iconic exotic weapons from the MMO shooter Destiny using thousands of Lego bricks.
A while ago, we presented you with the video of the YouTuber Zazinombies Lego Creations replicating the exotic hand cannon ‘The Last Word’ in Lego. As it turns out, this was not the first nor the last weapon from Destiny that would come from his work.
Thunderlord – more than 5 kilos, over 3000 pieces
The Thunderlord, an exotic lightweight machine gun, is one of the rarest weapons in Destiny, as Xur has never had it for sale. Made of Lego, it is an incredibly massive model, particularly the ammunition drum looks impressive, with the ammo belt. It is one of the largest weapon models that the specialist has ever built.
The replica of the Thunderlord is over a meter long and impresses with its black and blue colors and overall elegant look. The only question we still have is how he can resist the urge to go “ratta-ta-ta-ta” when holding it in the video.
Icebreaker – the heat sinks were the challenge
Only when you replicate the Icebreaker in Destiny with Lego does it become clear what a wonder of technology it actually is. The artist used 2100 pieces to create it. The numerous “heat sinks” on both sides of the weapon were particularly challenging. It is also over a meter long, measuring 106 cm from the stock to the barrel.
In Destiny at least, the Icebreaker can also generate its own ammunition. When Xur had it for sale again a few weeks ago after a while, the Icebreaker brought him record sales.
