First Xur was the star of Destiny, then Banshee – now it’s the faction vendors

The times in Destiny have changed. For a long time, it was all about the exotic dealer Xur, then with Banshee-44 a new “super vendor” appeared. He took orders from the Guardians and then could bring strong legendary weapons.

Banshee-44 has now fallen from grace – most players simply have all the weapons he can offer. Xur is also not as exciting as before since Guardians get their weapons through the “Three of Coins” and quests. Players are no longer reliant on Don Calamari and his squid mafia.

Vendor weapons are the new hot thing in Destiny

The “new hot thing” in Destiny is the very ordinary vendors. They used to have a rigid repertoire of weapons. It only changed every six months or so.

The classics in their offering, like a particularly strong “Unity SR4,” dominated Destiny for half a year or longer, but… it wasn’t really exciting because the weapons remained the same for a long time. Eventually, everyone had those great weapons.

That is now different. Since the “Age of Triumph,” vendor offerings change weekly. Every Wednesday, specialists scour the vendors in search of THE weapon, the “God Roll.” That’s what it’s called when a weapon embodies the “perfect perks,” carrying the best traits it can have.

Automatic Rifle with special configuration: Extremophil

This week, an automatic rifle is on the brink of godliness. It’s the Extremophil 011. You can get it at the Dead Orbit.

The automatic rifle comes with the perks: High-Caliber Rounds, Perfect Balance, and Stability Adjust. On Reddit, the weapon is already being celebrated.

Players have erected a small altar for it and are dancing around it chanting its name, much like the people of Israel did around that golden calf. You may have heard of it.

Back to the weapon: The double “Stability Boost” is a rare and sought-after combination. Especially with automatic rifles, one can stay on a target particularly long and inflict devastating damage. Its followers say of the weapon: It melts everything away. It is a total face-melting machine.

The current perk configuration is the combination considered the God Roll for the Extremophil in PvP.

Scout Rifle: The Wounded

Also worth a look is the scout rifle “The Wounded” at the Future War Cult.

However, things are trickier here.

The rifle “The Wounded” is available this week with “Full Auto” and the perks Crowd Control and Outlaw. In the world of scout rifles, two philosophies are at odds over what constitutes a God Roll.

Some are keen on “Firefly and Triple Tap” to create a kind of explosion sniper. Others want “Full Auto” on their scouts. They could be happy with “The Wounded” this week.

Rocket Launcher: Dust to Dust 00

This week, the rocket launcher “Dust to Dust 00” is also interesting at the Dead Orbit.

A fierce debate is currently raging about this type of rocket launcher. For some say, it can kill raid boss Aksis better and faster than the previous favorite weapon, the Dark Drinker, a sword.

Dust to Dust comes with the perks: Cluster Bombs, Field Scout, Tripod. It could very well be worth a purchase.

All three weapons cost 150 legendary shards each.

Weapons Day in Destiny – The Offer from Banshee-44

Poor Banshee-44 has become a footnote in the article that used to belong solely to him. But perhaps with Destiny 2 things will pick up again. If only the Cabal aren’t drinking tortoise soup out of his skull by now.
