Currently, the BEAVER error is frustrating Guardians in Destiny .
Last night, the Update 2.3.1 was deployed, which was supposed to fix several bugs. However, not only bugs were fixed, but also an annoying issue was introduced: Numerous Guardians are being plagued by “BEAVER”. This error code prevents players from playing the MMO shooter.
As Bungie states, this error was indeed introduced with Update 2.3.1. Now they are desperately looking for solutions. A “workaround” is presented on the Bungie page, but it cannot be a permanent solution.
BEAVER does not like poor NAT connections
The BEAVER error code is triggered by complications with NAT settings:
- If players have strict NAT settings, they may receive the error when connecting with other players.
- If a player connects with “Moderate NAT” and encounters players with “strict or moderate NAT”, it can also result in BEAVER.
Therefore, Bungie recommends setting NAT settings to “open”. This may potentially reduce the problem.
A “proper” solution to the problem has not yet been found. The developers are still searching,
The last situation report was six hours ago, around 2 a.m. our time. It was said that they are still investigating the issues.
