In the MMO shooter Destiny there is now a statement regarding the trophy question on Playstation and Xbox.
For many console players, it’s more than just a nice addition: The trophies (Playstation) and achievements (Xbox) of individual games. They want to conquer and check them off. In Destiny, the “Flawless Raider” is especially sought after. Some trophy hunters don’t find it funny at all when new loot is missing with expansions: “Why should one even play then!”
We’ve also heard the statement: “If no new achievements come, I won’t buy the expansion!”
With the last two DLCs, “The Darkness Awaits” and “House of Wolves”, no new trophies were introduced, as is well known. What about “The Taken King”?
Short and sweet: Yes, there will be new ones. Raid lead designer Luke Smith reportedly said this on Thursday at E3 during a live stream with the comedy channel “Rooster Teeth”. We haven’t found a recording of the live stream. However, several US sites report this, which are generally trustworthy.
At the moment, to our knowledge, there are no further details on the topic, other than that Luke Smith indeed said “Yes”.
