Starweaver belongs to the unpopular scout rifles archetype in the Crucible. Compared to the MIDA, the impact is increased by 10 points, while the fire rate is 5 points lower. The reload speed is strong, but the stability and aim assist are poor. The time-to-kill is also quite slow at 1.00 seconds. For the perks, several extras can provide decisive advantages. In PvP, Mass Control gives you the benefit that you only need three critical hits after a kill to take down a Guardian. Zen Moment can compensate for the below-average stability. In the third perk column, it is particularly helpful to increase stability. Hand-laid stock, Perfect Balance, Injection Mold, or Smallbore are noteworthy. In the final perk column, Hidden Hand, Third Eye, or Outlaw are especially useful.
Also focus on Mass Control, Zen Moment, Hand-laid stock, Perfect Balance, or Outlaw in PvE. Here, however, perks such as Explosive Rounds, Triple, or Fireball become interesting.
Starweaver is a solid weapon, particularly aimed at novice scout rifle users. It is not outstanding in PvP but can perform well in PvE. Not a “must-have” weapon.
