In Destiny, we show you how to obtain the exotic machine gun Abbadon. This is tied to the quest series “Fire Hymns.”
Abbadon and Nova Mortis are the Solar and Void variants of the Arc machine gun Thunderlord. Both were introduced in the winter event “The Dawning” and both have exotic quests that reward you with the respective weapon at the end. Abbadon and Nova Mortis have already been introduced here.
The Path to Abbadon – How to Get It
First, you need to obtain the quest “Fire Hymns.” You will receive this only after you have acquired Nova Mortis.
The Summary: Reach Rank 7 in the new SRL Record Book, go to one of the large gifts in the Tower with Xur’s Gift Tag, and complete the 6 steps of the “Nova Mortis” quest series.
Once you have Nova Mortis in your inventory, you need to run to Zavala. Many Guardians report that they are told to go to Ikora Rey – however, this marker is incorrect. Talk to Zavala, and he has the quest “Fire Hymns” for you.
Fire Hymns – Step 1: What Remains
Zavala mentions that with the data from Thunderlord and Nova Mortis, you can build Abbadon. Therefore, you should go to the gunsmith. Talk to him.
Step 2: Cleansing Fire
Now you need to achieve kills with Solar abilities. A total of 100 points is required. Select your Solar subclass and eliminate enemies with melee, grenade, or super.
Step 3: The Power of a Star
Talk to Banshee-44 again in the Tower. He says that Kabal energy is now needed.
Step 4: Blazing Flames
Defeat Valus Tlu’urn and Valus Mau’ual in the Strike Brothers Shield. The difficulty does not matter here.
Step 5: Catching a Star
Go to Commander Zavala in the Tower. He will give you Abbadon.
