Destiny: Here are 10 new weapons available in the challenge of the Elders

In Destiny guardians can earn ten special weapons by mastering the Challenge of the Elders. We present them here.

With the April update of Destiny, the Prison of Elders has been revamped: In addition to a 41 version of the Prison, Variks also invites you to the Challenge of the Elders.

The Challenge of the Elders is a weekly PvE event that you can participate in with three players without matchmaking. To participate, you need the “Elders’ Seal”, a points card that tracks your weekly progress. Additionally, you must have a minimum light level of 290, the recommended light level is 320. Through the Challenge of the Elders, you have the chance to earn ten legendary weapons that are exclusively available through this endgame content. Note: All of these weapons are Chroma-compatible. You can make them shine in various colors.

Let’s start with the legendary auto rifle Majestic Memento. The remaining 9 weapons will be presented on the following pages.

Majestic Memento

The Majestic Memento is an auto rifle with high power and reduced fire rate. With the April update, these slow auto rifles received a 2.3% damage boost, making the Majestic Memento a viable weapon in various game modes. Here are the specific stats: This weapon only comes with random perks. To take out enemies from a distance, you should hope for Scope Finder and Persistence. However, the perk Spray and Play can also be useful with its small magazine size, as it increases reload speed when the magazine is empty. Crowd Control is also practical.

For more range, the next perks to consider are Reinforced Barrel or Smallbore. Both perks reduce reload speed, so they can benefit from Spray and Play. If you already have Scope Finder or Persistence, then Fast Reload may be the better perk to quickly get bullets back into your enemies.

In another random selection, you have a chance at Hidden Hand (Improved target acquisition), Third Eye (Active radar while aiming down sights), and Half-Full Glass, which causes the second half of each magazine to do increased damage. With the right perks, the Majestic Memento can become an exciting auto rifle for many guardians.
