Destiny: 7 Tips for Domination

In Destiny, we give you 7 tips to keep in mind in the PvP mode Supremacy – and partially must!

With “Rise of Iron”, a new game mode came to the Crucible: “Supremacy”, which is similar to the “Kill Confirmed” mode from CoD: You shoot an opponent, they drop something, and you pick it up. In Destiny, this refers to crests, which are Engram-like objects representing the glory and honor of the Guardians.

For some Guardians, this mode might be new territory. Especially for PvP haters, who are currently hanging around in the Crucible (October Iron Banner!). Therefore, we provide a few tips below to alleviate the frustration of Supremacy newcomers and their teammates.

What, you have to collect those things?

Choose the shotgun over the sniper: In Supremacy mode, you will often be taken out by a shotgun. Because nearly everyone runs around with one. Collecting the crests requires either clever team tactics or an offensive playstyle, with most Guardians opting for the latter. Equip the shotgun, dive into the fun, collect crests, and with a bit of luck, come out alive from the chaos. If you start the mode with a fireteam, you can also work with snipers from the background and provide “cover fire”. If you are alone and want to counteract frustration, the choice should fall on a shotgun.
Follow your teammates: In this PvP mode, many Guardians run around in small groups – especially when playing in a fireteam. You should do the same, even if you are playing solo. Because if you are on your own, you will usually come off worse. Here, it can be worthwhile to check the overview to see who the best players in your team are. Stick with them. Don’t run around alone! It’s only detrimental to your team.
Collect the crest: This is a tip that should be obvious. But after playing a few games of Supremacy, you realize: No, some Guardians seem to have not quite understood this yet. Both the red and blue crests should be collected to earn points for your own team and deny points for the opponents. But be careful: Don’t run blindly toward the crests, as the opponent will want to collect them too. First, check if you can successfully grab them. Additionally, an annoying lag problem rarely occurs, preventing you from picking up these crests.
Choose the right super: Depending on the map, you should choose your super. However, in Supremacy, focusing on a super that allows you to move across the map is mostly sensible, like the Hammer Titan, the Blade Dancer Hunter, or the Stormcaller Warlock. This way, you can carve a path through the enemies and collect the crests along the way. And that leads directly to the next tip:
If a teammate activates such a super, then follow them! When the hammers are flying at the enemies, the Guardian with the active super cannot collect all the crests themselves. So, follow them while they spread chaos.
Grenades are excellent: In Supremacy, two teams often face each other, with everything that isn’t nailed down being shot at the enemies. Here, it can be worthwhile to save the grenade and throw it at the crests lying on the ground. This way, the enemy experiences a nasty surprise when they try to grab the loot.
Make use of the “Iron Lord” artifacts: For Supremacy, the following two artifacts are worth considering: Skorri (When your super is full, the super attacks of nearby allies charge faster.) Since you work a lot with teammates, you get many super attacks and can force the crucial advantage. Felwinter: (You lose your super, but you gain an extra grenade and an additional melee attack. Additionally, all stats receive small boosts. When you pick up Orbs of Light, you also gain energy for melee and grenades.) The bonus energy for melee and grenades is also awarded when you collect crests. This way, you can rain grenades down!
