In Destiny there is confusion about Xur’s Three of Coins. Is Xur still bringing them or not?
Last week Xur did not have the “Three of Coins”. Bungie said: We are looking into it.
This week on 30.12. he again did not have any.

In a new statement from Friday evening our time, Bungie now says: “Xur will not sell any coins this weekend.” His behavior may fluctuate from week to week in the foreseeable future. This is due to a limitation in his inventory.

That’s all Bungie says.
It seems likely that something went wrong with the event “The Dawning” at Xur in Destiny. Perhaps it’s because Guardians can no longer buy ornaments from Xur, which has caused some code to get mixed up, resulting in the “Three of Coins” now missing from the inventory.
Important for players: It is no longer guaranteed that Xur will sell the Three of Coins. If he ever brings them back, it would probably be smart to stock up.
The “Three of Coins” have been used since September 2015 to increase the drop probability of exotic items in Destiny. Some see them as the reason why exotic items are no longer as special as they used to be and thus the appeal of collecting them has diminished.
