In Destiny 2, you can already get the two event weapons from the Festival of the Lost 2020 from the collection. MyMMO explains why you should act quickly.
Here’s what you should do now: Next week, on October 6th, the Halloween event Festival of the Lost 2020 will start in Destiny 2. But before you grab treats or tricks and fight through the pitch-black haunted forest, you should get the two event weapons right now.
Get “Horror Story” and “BrayTech Werewolf” comfortably from the collection today.
What’s in it for you? Here’s why it’s worth securing the weapons before the event starts:
- They come with extremely strong rolls from the collection (we will go into this further below)
- Both guns are directly level 10 masterworks
- The infusion cap is at 1360 – you can use them throughout the next year in endgame
Only during the Festival of the Lost can you hunt for “Horror Story” and “BrayTech Werewolf” with random rolls. The two variants that you can secure now should already look very much like a God Roll for many.
We don’t know if as soon as the Spook Fest starts, the trick with the collection will still work – in other words, whether you will still have access to these rolls or be dependent on your drop luck.
Of course, you can only pull both weapons from the collection in the updated version if you earned the original models from 2018 or 2019 during Halloween.

What rolls do the event weapons have in the collection?
The rolls of the two auto rifles are geared towards PvE with their damage increases. Additionally, both weapons handle more smoothly the more you shoot, due to the perks.
You can get Horror Story like this:
- Sight: Clean Shot OV or Red Dot 2 MOA
- Magazine: Extended Magazine
- Perk 1: Zen Moment
- Perk 2: Rampage
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
You can get BrayTech Werewolf like this:
- Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Armor-Piercing Rounds
- Zen Moment
- Multikill Clip
- Masterwork: Range
Is there a new event weapon in 2020? In the past years, a brand new legendary weapon was introduced during the Festival of the Lost. This year, it seems very much like we won’t be adding to the collection.
The Halloween event has been extensively introduced, and even in the hard rock music video (trailer), no unfamiliar firearm could be identified. Whether there will be a surprising exotic quest like in 2018, we currently doubt strongly.
The reason for the weapon scarcity is likely that Beyond Light was delayed with all its content. The festival was actually supposed to take place when we could already enjoy the long-awaited DLC.
