Bungie promises improvements for the armor quest in Destiny 2 for the Iron Banner as well as a nerf of a weapon that many find annoying. However, all of these changes will not take effect until July 30. For some Guardians, it means suffering once again in the Iron Banner.
The July Iron Banner is just around the corner: On Tuesday, July 23, Destiny 2 will kick off the July Iron Banner. Guardians will once again have a week to progress in the new quest line for the Iron Banner armor or earn new seasonal Iron Banner weapons.
What is different about the Iron Banner in the Season of Opulence, you can read here: What changes with the Iron Banner in Season 7
These changes are to come soon: At the request of numerous fans, there will soon be some changes both in the Iron Banner itself and in regular PvP. These target two particularly annoying issues for many Guardians:
- There should be improvements to the design of the new Iron Banner armor quest. Many fans found them acceptable, but many Guardians saw them as artificially inflated and overly grindy. Bungie has heard the feedback, and based on this criticism, there should be significant changes there – even if the developers have not yet disclosed any specific details.
- The exotic shotgun Lord of Wolves has been ruining the fun for many on PC in the Crucible – even in the Iron Banner. Therefore, Bungie has promised to nerf this weapon soon.
Why do players have to suffer again now? Bungie has recently confirmed that these changes should be implemented soon.
However, nothing will happen by the July Iron Banner. Both issues will only be addressed in an update in August – which is before the August Iron Banner, but also after the July Iron Banner ends. Therefore, the upcoming one-week PvP event could become quite annoying for some Guardians.
Many players, even here on MeinMMO, are currently not pleased with the new quest design of the Iron Banner.
So, if you want to unlock more armor pieces as a critic of the new system, you will probably have to endure some more suffering before the long-awaited changes finally take effect. Even those tired of being torn apart by Lord of Wolves will have to bite the bullet again if they want to participate in the Iron Banner.
What do you think of these adjustments? Bungie is not only adjusting Lord of Wolves – the temporary dominance of this weapon will also be honored with its own emblem. What do you think of this action and the nerf of the exotic?
And how do you feel about Bungie’s willingness to ease the grind for the Iron Banner quest? Is that the right decision in your eyes? Let us and others know in the comments.
By the way: With a new update, cheaters will soon be punished in the Bad Juju quest:
