Today Xur will make his first appearance in Destiny 2 during Season 17. As always, he has his exotic items with him, and perhaps some other items that you miss in your collection. MeinMMO will meet with him to show you his offerings first.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Bungie has launched its new Season 17, the “Season of the Haunted.” However, so far, the Guardians are only plagued by a drought of content and are asking: “Is that all there is?” Aside from the new patrol zone and the two activities with voice lines for the story, everything is actually quite sparse. Whether Bungie has an ace up its sleeve remains to be seen.
At least the new dungeon “Duality” is already on the starting blocks. Check out the current trailer here:
In the eyes of some players, this new dungeon offers visually cool loot. All weapons from the latest dungeon have a red aura and a unique design. Additionally, there’s the new weapon exotic, the sword “Heartshadow,” which can be earned in the dungeon, including the associated catalyst.
- The launch of the new dungeon “Duality” is today at 7:00 PM, right after the weekly reset.

When does Xur arrive? The most famous vendor from Destiny 2 arrives every Friday at 7:00 PM. However, you also need to bring materials because the goods are cheap, but not free.

Xur also sells Legendary items and offers unique rolls for Exotics from unavailable exotic missions from past DLCs each week.

The Trials of Osiris are taking a break
This weekend, there are no “Trials of Osiris” taking place. Fans of PvP can have fun this weekend in Dynamic Control or dare into PvE and explore the new dungeon “Duality” along with the loot.
- The Trials of Osiris will start for the first time in Season 17 on June 10.
At least the waiting time is worth it, as the Trials have been equipped with a new loot package in the “Season of the Haunted.” This includes new weapons, armor, a Sparrow, and a Ghost shell.
Additionally, the revamped Iron Banner event with Lord Saladin starts on Tuesday, May 31, at 7:00 PM. Players will then be able to discover and evaluate the changes that Bungie made to the popular PvP mode.
