This is what’s happening in the MMO shooter: Season 14, the Season of the Splicer, finally kicked off this week in Destiny 2. This means for you, new gear is up for grabs and new activities are waiting to be tackled.

However, when Season 14 started on May 11, Guardians first had to deal with severe server issues. Most annoyances have been resolved now, and you can set out to save the Last City from a Darkness simulation.
The friendly vendor Xur also brings you the necessary exotics this week. However, one highly praised exotic weapon is currently weaker than intended. Let’s find out if Xur’s gifts are all in top shape.

When does Xur come? In Destiny 2, Xur arrives every Friday at 7:00 PM. The mysterious NPC then chooses a planet of his choice, where he hides until May 18 at 7:00 PM – until the next weekly reset. If you find Xur, he sells you his random exotics.
What’s Xur offering? Xur always brings exotic weapons and armors. Which exotics these are exactly, no one knows in advance. If the Nine are merciful to you, Xur might have the gun you are missing or your favorite exotic with strong stats. MeinMMO takes a close look at his inventory.

Which map is active? The weekly recurring PvP mode Trials of Osiris always takes place on one map. This week, you will sweat on “Endless Vale”.
Remember that with the endgame bounty from Saint-14, you only receive loot for this week’s 3 wins just for participating (or “death running”). We will list what you can get for your wins and flawless runs throughout the evening.
