Season 18 in Destiny 2 kicks off today into its third weekend. Before that, however, players can expect Xur, the exotic vendor. If you don’t own all Exotics yet, you should definitely pay him a visit. We tell you where to find him and what he has to offer.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Guardians in Destiny 2 are currently wearing gold. They are fulfilling not only the special wish of a grieving father. They are also participating in “Childhood Cancer Awareness” month, which aims to raise awareness about cancer in children. So far, thousands of Guardians have followed the call.
Maybe you want to join in to support the Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Then find the golden shaders in your collection and equip them. The third-party app “Destiny Item Manager” has also come up with a particularly golden help for this.
Bungie has also revealed new information about the removal of the power level. Something that some players would like to get rid of completely without hesitation. Apparently, fewer and fewer Destiny 2 players want to grind hard for levels and therefore wish for changes. The latest statements from Bungie have now given them hope that adjustments are already in the works.
There was also a lot going on with weapons this week in Destiny 2:
- Masochists were pleased about an extremely malevolent touch.
- Lightfall pre-order customers had to endure another blocking of their Telesto exotic.
- The prettiest bow is currently making its strongest comeback in Destiny 2.
- And a content creator is demanding a nerf for one of the most useful raid exotics from Bungie.
All info about Xur on September 9, 2022 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When does Xur come? The exotic vendor visits Destiny 2 every Friday at 7 PM. Anyone who has gaps in their exotic collection is expecting him then, as he is the easiest way to get exotics. It only costs a one-way trip and some materials as payment.
Where is Xur? This is his location for the weekend
Xur’s location: Every week, Xur can be found at a different location. So you never know exactly where to find him.
- This week you will find Xur again in the tower in the hangar. You can see his exact location on the map.

Xur’s inventory from September 9 – 13 – All Exotics at a glance
What does Xur have to offer? As the chosen exotic vendor of the “Nine”, a mysterious group in Destiny 2, Xur delivers new weapons and armor to players on their behalf every week. All characters, including Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans, can shop with him. Whether you are new to the game or already an experienced Guardian. His goods are guaranteed to be better than the offerings from Spider.
This week he is selling you the following goods:
- Exotic Weapon: The Colony – Void Grenade Launcher for 29 Legendary Shards
- Titan: Unyielding Sentinel – Arc Helm for 23 Legendary Shards
- Mobility: +6
- Resilience: +20
- Recovery: +7
- Discipline: +9
- Intellect: +8
- Strength: +11
- Total: 61
- Warlock: Skull of Dire Ahamkara – Arc Helm for 23 Legendary Shards
- Mobility: +9
- Resilience: +13
- Recovery: +10
- Discipline: +2
- Intellect: +10
- Strength: +17
- Total: 61
- Hunter: Gwisin Wrap – Solar Chest Armor for 23 Legendary Shards
- Mobility: +4
- Resilience: +17
- Recovery: +12
- Discipline: +9
- Intellect: +13
- Strength: +8
- Total: 63
Our purchasing recommendation: The Titan exotic “Unyielding Sentinel” is definitely worth recommending. Especially if you don’t have one yet. For Titans, a resilience of 20 is quite good.
Xur also sells Legendary items and offers unique rolls for exotics from no longer available exotic missions of past DLCs each week. However, note: You can only buy the weapons if you also own the corresponding DLC.
Currently, he has these two weapons available:
- The exotic hand cannon “Fallen Moon” (Beyond Light) with the perk “Eye of the Storm”
- The exotic scout rifle “Tale of a Dying Man” (Beyond Light) with the perk “Lawless”
The cost of the weapons: For these two exotics, the cost is each 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Shards.
Xur always has: You can always get an exotic engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to obtain an exotic code.
The Iron Banner and its explosive outburst
Fans of hard endgame PvP will have to wait a little longer. The start date for Trials of Osiris in Season 18 is September 16. Currently, the mode “Eruption” is active at Lord Saladin in the Iron Banner.
What is Eruption and how does the mode work?? It is a modified version of the former team deathmatch mode “Conflict,” which Bungie has adorned with a new “BOOMSHAKALAKA!” Just like in “Conflict,” you also earn points for your kills in “Eruption.”
How is Eruption received by players? Currently, the community is still divided across different social media channels.
However, it can be said that the new mode is “hellishly fun” for above-average players, but “hellishly miserable” for below-average players, as player MegaJoltik aptly summarizes the situation on reddit about Eruption.
What do you think of this, as the German Destiny 2 community? Do you find Eruption “hellishly fun” or “hellishly miserable”? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments.
