As Destiny 2 says goodbye to a short winter break, the merchant Xur is still active. So if you’re out in the loot shooter over the weekend, we’ll tell you which exotics you can buy from him until next Tuesday.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Currently, the social place in Destiny 2 is well populated. Many Guardians are enjoying the holiday break while baking and delivering some cookies for the 2022 event. This is an easy way to improve resources and also get some event weapons.
While part of the players wonders about missing hats, Titans on the other hand prefer their new glaive build that gets a nice buff from a perk from season 19. This way, they can easily deal 62,000 – 82,000 damage per hit. MeinMMO has prepared a practical setup sheet for you that shows all the required abilities and mods at a glance.
Last but not least, this week took off high. Bungie gave its players the probably most beautiful view one can have of the Traveler and the Earth right now. High above the clouds, Guardians were able to experience in the mission “Operation: Seraph’s Shield” what it feels like to be daringly roaming in space over Earth. Grate paths with interruptions, extreme heights, and jumping passages caused some to feel uneasy. Additionally, there were puzzles à la Mission Impossible and a locked door that needs to be cracked.
With the upcoming Lightfall DLC in spring 2023 and the announced lore events from the mission “Vox Obscura,” which predict a Traveler infected by darkness, this might be one of the last looks at the object that has been a fixed part of Destiny 2 for years.
MeinMMO was on the orbital platform for you and tried to capture the magnificent view:

All info about Xur on December 23, 2022 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When does Xur arrive? The exotic merchant visits Destiny 2 every Friday at 6 PM. Everyone who still has gaps in their exotic collection awaits him, as he is the easiest way to obtain exotics. It only costs you a flight and some materials as payment.
Where is Xur? This is his camp for the weekend
Xur’s position: Even though Xur only actively uses a few location positions, no Guardian knows before 6 PM where he will land. MeinMMO, however, is always closely following him and will reveal it to you as soon as possible.
Check the map, his exact location is marked there.

What Xur always carries: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to obtain an exotic cipher.
Trials of Osiris from December 23 – 27 – Map, Weapons, and Info
During the holidays, you can dive back into the PvP endgame. The 14th saint invites you to do so and as always has a master weapon in hand that you can earn with 7 flawless wins.
Which map is on this week? Unlike in normal PvP, where the maps rotate, in the Guardian-vs-Guardian endgame, there is only a set map each weekend on which you play. This allows for coordinated team shooting. Many players use the terminologies from the Warmind Callout Maps for this.
How to get your loot: The Trials of Osiris also have a reputation rank system that you can find with the 14th saint. Top-tier loot rewards from the PvP matches can be obtained from him for:
- Seven wins
- 50 rounds
- as well as the infamous flawless run that leads you to the lighthouse
This is the reward for a flawless run: Players can earn very special loot each week in the form of a Trials master weapon. However, you can only obtain it if you crown your Trials pass flawlessly with 7 wins. You can farm the weapon until next Tuesday, December 27, at 6 PM.
The “Master weapon bug” has been fixed: However, it is no longer possible this weekend to buy multiple master weapons, as was possible last week due to a bug. Bungie has fully granted you the various extra master weapons, with the involvement of dmg04. However, a fix has been implemented for this week that resets everything back to normal. Also, the flawless matchmaking pool will be reactivated on Sunday at 6 PM.
All Trials weapons have a Trials origin perk: “Eagerness” – Improves reload speed, stability, aim assist, and range when you are the last living member of your fireteam or fighting solo.
You can focus your Trials engrams on your desired weapon at the 14th saint. On top of that, you get enhancement prisms and ascendant shards. Remember that your reward increases even further once you have a full pass – even if you have lost one or two games.
When do the Trials officially start? The Trials of Osiris begin today, December 23 at 6 PM and end with the weekly reset on December 27 at 6 PM.
With this, you are now well informed about what Xur and the 14th saint have to offer you over Christmas. Please feel free to let us know in the comments what your gaming plan looks like over the holidays and what is currently the most worthwhile content for you in Destiny 2.
