In Destiny 2, there is an NPC you need to know: Xur. He is the best Exotic trader this side of the solar system with a bustling spaghetti face. Every Friday at 7 PM, he arrives on time and opens his shop with exotic items. So, if you want to quickly complete your collection and Exotics, a visit to him is a must. MeinMMO will tell you where to find him.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Currently, players in Destiny 2 are having a friendly class fight. However, this was unfairly exploited at the start to get a special emblem. Those who wanted to be among the top 10% of Guardians exploited a ridiculous trick that Bungie itself implemented. When the developer intervened to restore fairness and changed the Guardian Games rules, there were no consequences for players who exploited the trick for ridiculously high scores.
Furthermore, Bungie announced changes to the outdated Iron Banner. A new-old mode aims to blow the dust away with fresh air. In the upcoming Season 17, a new PvP map located in Savathun’s Throne World will be introduced. However, our Destiny 2 author and PvP expert Christos Tsogos is not sure whether the refreshed Rift mode is enough to appease PvP players.

Currently, he has these two weapons for sale:
- The exotic hand cannon “The Hawkmoon” with the perk “Deadly Wind”
- The exotic scout rifle “The Story of a Dead Man” with the perk “Mobile Target”
Costs for the weapons: For these two Exotics, the cost is 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Shards.
Xur always has this with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to obtain an exotic cipher.
No Trials – Use the last Iron Banner of Season 16
What’s up with the Trials? This week, the Iron Banner event is active one last time, which means unfortunately, there will be no Trials. So, you need to take advantage of the Iron Banner and go hunting there. This is Bungie’s way of ensuring that both activities don’t scare off customers from each other.
Since this is the last Iron Banner and a refresh of the event is scheduled for the upcoming Season 17, you should redeem all your stored Iron Banner tokens with Lord Saladin by May 17.
Why is this note so important? In the past, Bungie has given several NPC vendors a new reputation system to provide players with more direct ways to obtain their loot. Instead of collecting activity tokens, you will automatically level up in the future and gain reputation for playing the respective playlist.
These and other changes will also come to the Iron Banner in Season 17. So redeem your tokens by Tuesday, May 17, at 7 PM at the latest; otherwise, they will be worthless.
What do you think of Xur’s offer? Is it worth it for you this week? Feel free to leave us a comment and let us know what Xur should definitely offer in his inventory.
