What happened this week in Destiny 2? At the beginning of the week Bungie presented their new Season 19. It takes the Guardians back into the Seraph bunkers of the Warmind Rasputin. There they are supposed to assist in reintegrating him before the Hive under Xivu Arath gains the upper hand. For this, Osiris, Ana Bray, and the Guardians are voluntarily collaborating with the, albeit brilliant, psychopath Clovis Bray.
In addition to the new story, there are of course new weapons. One exotic weapon from Season 19 has been particularly talked about right at the start. The pulse rifle “Revision Zero” will have 4 catalysts and is also not available immediately. It is time-gated, and Guardians must stay on task week after week until it reaches its full potential.
The season start itself was commented on with mixed opinions from players based on early impressions. While new Guardians explore the content with curiosity, the well-known season model, the heavily revamped PvP system, and the partially recycled locations of the Seraph bunkers from the Season of the Worthy caused discontent among veterans. However, the Bungie boss let them know: “We have heard your feedback […] loud and clear.” In 2023 they want to take more creative risks.
The new Guardian ranks and Neomuna target pursuits are supposed to shake things up in Destiny 2 with the launch of the new DLC, on February 28, 2023.

Legendary Armor Set: This week Xur is selling the Cairos Function Set.
Xur also sells legendary items and offers unique rolls for Exotics from no longer available exotic missions of past DLCs each week. However, note: You can only buy the weapons if you also own the appropriate expansion.

New dungeon launches – Ascend the Guardian’s Pillar

When does the first Iron Banner start in Season 19? In the new year, Lord Saladin will call for the Iron Banner on January 3, 2023, to introduce “Stronghold”. This is a mode where the objective is to capture and hold areas – just like in Zone Control. Apparently, Lord Saladin made a deal with the Cabal Empress Caiatl, as she sends some Cabal turrets into the battlefield for added spice.
But before Trials or Iron Banner pits Guardians against each other again, a real cherry on top comes into play in PvE. The brand new dungeon opens its doors today at 6 PM and invites you to the “Pillar of the Guardian”.
Who can play the dungeon? The new dungeon is available to all players who own the “The Witch Queen” Deluxe Edition or the Dungeon Key. You can then start it from the location “The Enclave” on Mars. However, first, speak with Ikora Rey in the Tower.
