Today Xur, Tentacle Face and Exo Merchant from Destiny 2, returns to the game. He brings you old, perhaps still missing Exotics that you can purchase with in-game currency. Since he changes his location and offerings every week, we reliably tell you where to find him.
What happened in Destiny 2 this week? The looming fall of the Light is coming closer and Bungie is gradually preparing its Guardians for the upcoming content of the new DLC.
- Bungie presented 6 new items from Lightfall for the first time in an exclusive trailer. This includes an exotic glaive, which interacts intelligently with Stasis but still needs to prove itself.
- Furthermore, it was announced that the €30 expansion Beyond Light is now free for PS4, PS5 subscribers of PS Plus.
- They put an end to Blue Engrams and push for 3 more weeks of material farming for new Guardians who have few Legendary Shards.
- Additionally, there’s a balance update for some of your favorite boss weapons and Exotics.
Until the release of Lightfall on February 28, players can expect even more information, which we will present to you exclusively on MeinMMO. As soon as new details are released, you will reliably find them in our Info Hub for Destiny 2 “Lightfall”.
Overall, from what we currently know, there will be 3 new Exo armors for Destiny 2: Lightfall, an exotic glaive, and of course, more rewarding weapons:

Nexxoss Gaming gives you its personal assessment of Xur’s offer as always – so click in:
Xur also sells legendary items and offers unique rolls for Exotics from no longer available exotic missions of past DLCs each week. However, note: You can only buy the weapons if you also own the appropriate expansion.
Currently, he has these two weapons on offer:
- The exotic hand cannon “Fallen Moon” (Beyond Light DLC) with the perk “Overflow”
- The exotic scout rifle “Tale of a Dead Man” (Beyond Light DLC) with the perk “Snapshot Sights”
The cost of the weapons: For these two Exotics, the cost is 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Shards each.
Xur always has with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards at Xur, as well as the weekly quest to get an Exotic Code.
If you are short on Legendary Shards – currently there are extra shards to collect.
Iron Wolves deploy a Bubble
It’s not over with “Fortress” yet. Lord Saladin is heating things up once again this weekend and calls for the Iron Banner. Many Guardians have already mastered his challenge. They are now only hunting the Prestige Shader “Iron Contrail” for its unique look.
In Season 20, there will also be a change for the Iron Banner.
- Iron Banner will return to being a three-week event starting Season 20. (via bungie.net)
- Bungie will soon provide more information about the game modes and exact dates.
However, if you prefer to hunt weapons and armors instead of shaders, a visit is also worthwhile. It is well known that good armor stats often drop in the Iron Banner. And the weapons are not to be underestimated either.
- Lord Saladin has a powerful 900 RPM submachine gun “The Burden of Heroes,” which sweeps the floor in PvP with the right perks.
- Additionally, the Arc sister of the kinetic 720 RPM auto rifle “Krait” called “Dark Choice.”
- Similarly, the Iron Banner sword “Blade of the Knife” can also be quite useful. It drops with “Chain Reaction” and easily destroys Titan Bubbles.
All Iron Banner weapons have an origin perk: “Cloaked Wolf” grants improved radar at low health and kills made with this weapon against Guardians remove you from the enemy radar.
When does the Iron Banner officially end? Lord Saladin’s PvP activities end with the Weekly Reset on February 7 at 6 PM. This is also the departure time for Xur.
Will you pay a visit to Xur? And what was your favorite Iron Banner mode in the Witch Queen year? Eruption, Rift, or Fortress? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
