There is no doubt who will win the second faction rally in Destiny 2. And there are reasons for that.
On November 7th, the next faction rally in Destiny 2 begins. The faction leaders from the Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and the New Monarchy gather again in the Tower to draw Guardians to their side.
For the faction you choose, you can collect tokens to earn as many reward packages as possible. You can only belong to one faction per character. The faction that delivers the most reward packages after one week wins the group competition.
The special thing about it is: The winning faction – and only the winning faction – sells a special weapon, which can be bought for 1000 Glimmer (for faction members) or 50,000 Glimmer (for all other Guardians).

Future War Cult – Fusion Rifle: For example, if the New Monarchy wins, the sword will be available for purchase for one week. The other two weapons will remain under wraps. And it is very likely that this will happen!
The New Monarchy will probably win
The faction whose Guardians collect the most faction reward packages wins. This means the faction with the most members will take the victory. And this time that is probably the New Monarchy.
Last Friday, we conducted a survey on Mein-MMO.de to see which faction you want to lead to victory. With nearly 5000 voters, this survey has some weight – and the results are clear:
- 50% of all participants will pledge allegiance to the New Monarchy
- 24% will go to Dead Orbit
- 16% will join Future War Cult
- and 10% were still undecided.
This survey paints a clear picture: The New Monarchy will win the second faction rally.
During the first faction rally, we conducted a survey online. The Dead Orbit won with an impressive 49% – and unsurprisingly, the Dead Orbit emerged as the winner. This faction is already popular simply due to its cool black shaders – it was the same in Destiny 1.
So why are so many Guardians joining the New Monarchy this time?
The reason lies with the winning weapons: The New Monarchy’s sword looks stylish, and swords are quite popular. Grenade launchers, on the other hand, are considered a terrible weapon category.
Some Guardians suspect that Bungie is deliberately trying to prevent Dead Orbit from winning again with this selection of winning weapons. Because you can’t attract any Guardian to the altar with a grenade launcher right now.
On reddit, user posts with thousands of upvotes urging players not to let Dead Orbit win this time appeared. They would prefer a sword or a fusion rifle rather than a grenade launcher. Our survey underscores this sentiment.
The first faction rally started on Tuesdays with the weekly reset. The second rally will likely start tomorrow, November 7th, at 10 AM.
